- Review of the Apple iPhone 14: Everything You Need to Know
- Despite not making a significant improvement over the iPhone 13, the iPhone 14 is the best iPhone value.
- Even though the new iPhone 15 is coming out, the iPhone 14 is still a terrific deal if you’re searching for a reliable flagship phone. You receive a more advanced camera system that performs better in low light, an Action mode for incredibly steady footage, and helpful security features like crash detection and Emergency SOS via satellite.
If you desire a bigger screen and a longer battery life, some people might prefer the larger iPhone 14 Plus. Additional intriguing features include an always-on display, Dynamic Island, 120Hz refresh rate, and telephoto zoom on the iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The iPhone 14 is without a doubt one of the best iPhones and belongs on our list of the top smartphones. In my review of the iPhone 14, I list all the benefits and drawbacks so you can determine if this is the correct phone for you.

Review of the iPhone 14: Price and Release Date
The iPhone 14 was released on September 16 and is currently available for purchase. The base 128GB variant of the iPhone 14 costs $799, £849, or AU$1,399 at launch. For $899, £959, or AU$1,579, you can upgrade to 256GB of storage, and for $1,099, £1,179, or AU$1,899, you can have 512GB.
With only the anticipated ordering and shipping delay, the basic iPhone 14 is currently available. Although Apple is now reportedly attempting to build more Pros to keep up by stopping regular iPhone 14 production, demand for the Pro models is still high.

iPhone 14 review: Design and colors
I wouldn’t call the design of the iPhone 14 innovative. It resembles the iPhone 13 almost exactly, down to the notch.
Don’t get me wrong, the aluminum and glass body is sturdy and reasonably appealing. It also features IP68 water resistance and the same robust (removed) Ceramic Shield front and tough glass back. But when you see the iPhone 14 Pro’s Dynamic Island, which replaces the notch with a smaller and more engaging cutout for alerts and real-time activities, you’ll definitely feel envious.
Midnight, Starlight, Blue, Purple, Red, and Yellow are the colors of the iPhone 14. We put the prettier cornflower blue model—the paler blue one—to the test. On March 7, Apple released the iPhone 14 in a yellow color.
With a weight of 6.07 ounces and dimensions of 5.78 x 2.82 x 0.31 inches, the iPhone 14 is still small and rather light. This weighs less than the 6.17 ounces of the iPhone 13, despite the fact that the latter was 0.30 inches narrower.
Apple replaced the SIM Card slot on the iPhone 14 with an eSIM slot in a fairly contentious decision. Fortunately, adding a line of service is simple via the Settings app, and you may have up to eight SIM cards on your phone, with two of them being active at once (let’s say one is for personal use and the other is for business). Although some smaller and foreign carriers do not currently support eSIM, the technology is becoming more popular.
iPhone 14 review: Display
Even though there are no improvements over last year’s model, the 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display on the iPhone 14 continues to be among the highest quality screens in this price range. The Galaxy S22 has a 120Hz refresh rate, thus the greatest feature lost is that you won’t get the same incredibly smooth scrolling or animation in games that support it.
